As its name suggests, Japan Gyokuro Kyoto comes from Kyoto, a region known for its exceptional teas. In Japan, this tea is picked by hand and carefully processed to ensure its high quality. The name “Gyokuro” means “jade drops” and refers to the particular color and shape of the tea leaves.

How do you make gyokuro?

You can tell a quality gyokuro by the clarity of the infusion (almost translucent).
For a simpler method, infuse about 1 teaspoonful (about 1.5 g) in 200 ml of water at 70°C for 3 minutes.
