Organic English breakfast black tea
English Breakfast Black tea was created in the 19th century for the British upper classes, who were looking for a strong, comforting drink to start their day. It was generally made from three different types of tea leaf, Assam, Kenya and Sri Lanka (Ceylon), ground together. Today, English Breakfast Black Tea is still very popular in the UK and around the world, not least for its strong flavour and rich aroma.
Here we offer you an English Breakfast Black Tea made from a unique combination of two of the world’s finest teas: Assam and Ceylon, both organically grown:
- Assam: A tea field in north-east India, known for its full-bodied, malty flavour. Assam tea leaves are ground to give an intense flavour and rich aroma;
- Ceylon (Sri Lanka): A tea field in Sri Lanka, known for its sweet, aromatic taste. Ceylon tea leaves are carefully selected and ground to deliver an intense flavour and pleasant aroma.
For a unique and very British tasting experience, we recommend infusing in boiling water and testing every few minutes until you find the infusion time that suits you best. Its golden liqueur has a highly aromatic flavour.
