Description

This magnificent tasting box of organic Japanese teas contains 4 emblematic Japanese teas, carefully packaged in beautifully decorated metal boxes. The wooden case is finely engraved with the famous Japanese wave motif. Available in 2 variations: 4x20g and 4x50g.

The following Japanese teas are available:

  1. Sencha from Fuji Japan*: Sencha, a type of steamed green tea with flat leaves, is the most widely consumed type of tea in Japan. We have selected this blend, which is representative of the spirit of Japanese tea today;
  2. Hojicha*: This green tea is roasted, which removes much of its astringency. An easy-drinking liqueur with a low tea content;
  3. Gyokuro from Japan Kyoto*: The noblest, most refined and most precious green tea in the world;
  4. Tamaryokucha from Japan*: Tamaryokucha from Japan has a delicate herbal flavor, enriched by its sweet and spicy notes.

Preparation tips:

Fuji Japanese Sencha: Dosage: 2-3 grams per cup – about 4-5 teaspoons per liter. Water: after boiling, pour in water cooled to 60°-70°C and leave to infuse. Infusion time: 1.5-2 minutes.

Hojicha: Dosage: 12 – 15 g/L, infusion time: 2 – 3 minutes, infusion temperature: 70 – 80° C

Gyokuro from Japan Kyoto: You can tell a quality gyokuro by the clarity of the infusion (almost translucent).
For a simpler method, infuse about 1 teaspoonful (about 1.5 g) in 200 ml of water at 70°C for 3 minutes.

Tamaryokucha from Japan: To prepare a cup of Tamaryokucha, we recommend using about 2 grams of tea per 150 ml of water. This quantity produces a balanced and tasty infusion. The temperature at which the tea is brewed is essential to enhance the flavors of Tamaryokucha. We recommend infusing the tea at a temperature of between 70 and 80 degrees Celsius. Water that is too hot can burn the leaves and alter the quality of the tea.
